Course Description

This course was developed by Microsoft. In this course, you will gain a clear understanding of what Artificial Intelligence (AI) actually is, exploring how machines are able to perform tasks that traditionally required human intelligence. We will then look specifically at Generative AI (GenAI) and explain how it differs from more traditional forms of AI, which were mainly built to classify, predict, or automate existing processes. GenAI, by contrast, has the ability to create new content—such as text, images, and ideas—making it a powerful tool for innovation and problem-solving. You will also examine real examples of how early adopters across different industries are already benefiting from GenAI. These case studies will highlight improvements in efficiency, creativity, communication, and customer experience. Finally, the course will guide you to reflect on your own role and consider practical opportunities where GenAI could support your work, enhance your productivity, or inspire new ways of approaching challenges.
